CHICAGO - Nothing like a little bit of rest to bring the best out of the defending champions.
After about a week off for the All-Star break the Blackhawks came out strong against the Avalanche. A quick start gave them the lead and Corey Crawford took care of the rest in a 2-1 win in Denver to add to the team's Central Division lead.
With 30 games to go the team looks poised to make a deep run into the Stanley Cup playoffs as they try for a repeat title for the first time in team history.
Scott King, who writes on the Blackhawks for Red Eye along with hosting a podcast on the team for WGNRadio.com, came on Sports Feed to discuss the team and what they may due to improve the roster before the playoffs.
