CHICAGO — The Chicago Police Department is getting more Tasers and body cameras.

More than 780 Tasers are being shipped under a new five-year, $10 million contract.

The city says every officer will have one by June 1.

Officers in six more police districts, on the city’s South and West sides, are getting body cameras.

The cameras can link to in-car dash cam systems, and the footage cannot be edited or deleted.
