CHICAGO –  Prosecutors say a fight over a woman led to a fatal shooting at the Hyatt Hotel at McCormick Place last week.

A judge denied bond for Armonte Hooper, 23, of the 400 block of West Marquette Road.

Hooper is accused of killing Courtney Taylor in the lobby of the Hyatt Hotel on Sunday, January 24th.

Investigators say Hooper accused Taylor of hitting on his girlfriend during a birthday party at the hotel.

Hooper and his friends got into a verbal argument with Taylor and a group of men.  Prosecutors say Hooper and his friends left the hotel and then returned a short time later.   Hooper was seen on surveillance video shooting Taylor five times and then firing at an unidentified person outside the hotel before he fled on foot.

Police say witnesses identified Hooper from a photo line-up  and the surveillance video following his arrest Wednesday night.
