CHICAGO -- Some car owners on the Chicago’s South Side are eager for a thaw.

Their cars have been stuck in ice for more than a week now.

A water main broke near 32nd and Rhodes -- freezing the cars to the street.

The owners tried chipping them out, but they've barely been able to make a dent in the ice.

The owners say their insurance companies are hesitant to do anything, because moving the cars could cause more damage.
