QUEVEDO, Ecuador — Transport officials in Ecuador rescued a sloth who got trapped while trying to cross a city road.

They discovered it clinging to a guard rail in the city of Quevedo.

Ecuador’s transport commission posted photos of the adorable animal to its Facebook page, and they’ve been liked and shared thousands of times.

After officials rescued the sloth, they brought it to a veterinarian. The animal was given a clean bill of health, and returned to the wild.

“The cute fellow was OK and taken back to its habitat,” a spokesperson told Buzzfeed.
