3 killed, 17 injured in weekend shootings across Chicago

CHICAGO -- Three people were killed in weekend shootings in Chicago, another 17 were injured.

Police are searching for the person who shot a 20-year-old woman on Lake Shore Drive, near Navy Pier, early Sunday morning.

Someone pulled alongside the SUV in which she was a passenger, and opened fire.

She was shot at least twice in the left calf and was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

She's expected to survive.

As of Monday morning, at least 228 people had been shot in January, 37 fatally.
