WHEATON, Ill — A high school show choir didn’t let a bus fire stop them from getting to a competition in Wisconsin.

One of two chartered buses caught fire last Friday on a deserted road.

Students from Wheaton Warrenville South High School all got off the bus safely, but most of their belongings and costumes were destroyed.

The girls loaded onto the remaining bus and headed to the Onalaska High School Show Choir Classic.

With the help of parents and even strangers, they found backup costumes and instruments and took home first and second place trophies.
