CHICAGO -- The body of a handyman has been found in the sewer of a basement apartment in Chicago’s Back of the Yards neighborhood.

He was only known to neighbors as Mario.

One of the neighbors who went inside the building earlier Wednesday evening reported a foul odor coming from the basement.

The neighbor said he heard from investigators that there was a large amount if sewage and waste found near the handyman's body.

All the people living in the building have been forced out of while police investigate how the man died.

Neighbors say there were a lot of problems with the building and that Mario, known only to them as the handyman, was a nice man.
