NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A photo of a young couple checking on each other after a horrific Tennessee car crash has gone viral.

Arika Stovall and her boyfriend Hunter Hanks were driving on New Year’s Day when Hanks’ pickup truck veered toward a bridge support.  He stopped just seconds before slamming into the concrete slab.

The couple barely escaped.  Hanks is recovering with gashes on his face.

But the scene inside Stovall’s hospital room has captured the attention of social media.  The photo shows the couple, each wearing a neck brace,  locked in each other’s gaze.

The photo traveled the Internet around the world.  Arika and Hunter aren’t sure how that happened. But they say they’re moved by the kind words they’ve received online.  They’re happy their photo could touch so many lives.
