CHICAGO -- Chicago is celebrating the new year and while the wind chill hit revelers outside, several celebrated inside.

3,000 people will ring in the New Year with music, drinks, and dancing at The Drake Hotel.  A black tie ball was held in the famous Palm Court marking the 95th birthday of the landmark hotel.
Across the city, thousands hosted parties in their homes  - which meant stocking up on champagne.
Navy Pier’s midnight fireworks will once again cap off the year.
