PORTLAND, Ore. — A real estate investor who found a homeless man living on his property is now trying to help the man turn his life around.

When Chris Crever bought a house in Portland he didn’t know James Eppler had been living on the porch for two months.

So he offered him a job.

James helped clean up and restore the property in exchange for a room to stay.

Chris was so impressed with James’ work ethic he’s now trying to find him a full time job and an affordable apartment.

James said he’s looking forward to having a place to go and a reason to wake up everyday.
