DALLAS — Authorities have issued a $5,000 reward for information leading to the apprehension of the so-called “affluenza teen,” who’s wanted for violating his probation.
Ethan Couch, 18, was sentenced to 10 years probation and no jail time, after a drunken driving crash two years ago that killed four people.
His lawyer argued he suffered from “affluenza,” and blamed his irresponsible lifestyle on being coddled by his wealthy parents.
Couch disappeared after a recent video appeared to show him playing a drinking game at a party. Police think Couch’s mother is helping him avoid capture.
