Police warn about group of thieves stealing valuables from Chicago area cars

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Police are warning Chicago area residents about a national gang of thieves that appears to be back in the area.

Authorities say the Felony Lane Gang has hit several cars in Naperville over the past several weeks.  They have smashed windows and grabbed items out of the car.

Naperville police sent out an alert about several recent incidents including at the Kinder Care Daycare center in the 1200 block of West Ogden

The gang tends to target day care centers, gyms and parks where people are apt to leave purses and wallets in their vehicles.

The group has been active in Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana as well as Illinois.

Four years ago, Naperville police arrested four suspected members of the Felony Lane Gang

Police urge drivers to keep valuables out of sight and report any suspicious activity.
