CHICAGO -- The activist and journalist who forced the city of Chicago to release police videos in the shooting of Laquan McDonald have filed a new lawsuit.
This case involves the deadly police shooting of Alfontish "Nunu" Cockerham last June.
He was shot near a Pay Day loan store in the South Shore neighborhood.
Officers say it was self defense but relatives questioned the police version of events.
The shooting was recorded by a surveillance camera.
William Calloway and Brandon Smith joined a group of protesters outside the loan story today.
They are demanding the city release the video.
