Ohio attorney general: Fetal remains disposed of in landfills

COLUMBUS, OHIO — Ohio’s attorney general is planning to seek an injunction today to prevent Planned Parenthood from throwing away fetal remains in landfills.

A four-month investigation of three facilities in Ohio found no evidence that Planned Parenthood sold aborted fetuses. But attorney general Mike Dewine said the organization hired a company that heats the tissue to kill bacteria and disposes of the remains in a Kentucky landfill.
