Laquan McDonald march and rally planned for Sunday
CHICAGO — Religious leaders and civil rights activists say they will escalate their protests over the handling of the Laquan McDonald case Sunday.
Small groups of protesters blocked the entrances to several stores along Michigan Avenue on Saturday.
There have been daily demonstrations since police dash cam video of McDonald’s shooting death was released November 24.
Reverend Jesse Jackson will lead a march at 2 p.m. Sunday, from State and Van Buren Streets to the Thompson Center for a rally.
