LONDON – British fighter jets have carried out a second round of airstrikes on ISIS militants in Syria.

The jets started dropping bombs on ISIS controlled oil fields there on Thursday. The oil fields are a major source of cash flow for the terror group.

The fighters have now carried out two waves of airstrikes since Thursday. The UK had already been targeting ISIS militants in Iraq.

Officials say so far the airstrikes in Syria have been successful.
