CHICAGO - When he announced that 2015 would be his last year writing for the Chicago Tribune, a number of tributes poured in.
They came in the form of traditional newspaper articles that praised him for his years of coverage of Chicago sports. Congrats also came in on social media for the writer that spanned the generations.
Fred Mitchell earned this respect through his 41-years with the Tribune as he covered a number of different sports featuring a unique collection of athletes.
As his career at the Tribune comes to a close, Mitchell joined Sports Feed on Thursday to talk about the great moments of his career with Jarrett Payton and Josh Frydman.
