KENDALL, Flor. - Police in Florida are searching for thieves who stole Christmas trees out of a Costco parking lot in a suburb of Miami on Tuesday.

The trees were inside two semi-truck trailers.

Whoever stole the trees took both trailers and disconnected their GPS devices.

Florida Beauty owns the trailers. It pinged one of them off Interstate 75 near Weston before losing the signal.

The trailers were holding a total of 1,000 trees. The police report says they were worth $35,000.

Florida Beauty told the Miami Herald the trailers themselves were brand new and worth $78,000.
