PHILADELPHIA — A Pennsylvania man turned to Facebook when his wife needed a donor.

And he was surprised by one man’s response.

Glenn Calderbank was searching for marble slabs on Craigslist for a construction project when he saw the ad.

Kay Saria was seeking a kidney donor for his wife, Nina.

When Glenn realized the ad was for a kidney, it hit home.

His first wife Jessica also had kidney failure. She waited two years for a transplant. So he wanted to help.

Glenn is a match and surgery is scheduled for December 1.

Glenn and Nina hope their story encourages more people to become an organ donor.
