Couple sentenced to 5 years for baby’s starvation death

BARRINGTON, Ill. -- A young couple has been sentenced to five years in prison for their baby's death.

Marksiha Jones and Gene Edwards were living in Barrington last year when their 7-month-old daughter Mya died of starvation.

The couple pled guilty to involuntary manslaughter and child endangerment.

Mya's twin survived and is in the process of being adopted.
