CHICAGO -- The Chicago Teachers Union is holding a rally downtown Monday night.

The union is hoping to send a message to the city about stalled contract talks, while massive layoffs and funding cuts lie ahead.

Without help from a gridlocked Springfield, a full strike may be next.
