Eileen Quinn, mother of former Gov. Pat Quinn, dies

Eileen Quinn, the mother of former Governor Pat Quinn, died early Saturday morning in her sleep.

She was 98.

Born on Oct. 18, 1917, Quinn died shortly before 6 a.m. in her River Forest home, said relatives.

Quinn was a native of the Englewood Community and lived in the Chicago area all her life.

She was a mother of three sons, Pat, Tom and John.  Quinn was a grandmother to seven and had one great-grandchild.

A wake will be held for her on from 3 to 9 p.m. on Friday at the Dreschler Brown & Williams Funeral Home in Oak Park. The funeral will be at St. Luke Catholic Church in River Forest.
