DIXMOOR, Ill. -- The mayor of Dixmoor appeared to lunge at a village trustee during a village board meeting.

Mayor Dorothy Armstrong told the Chicago Tribune, trustee Michael Smith called her old and made fun of her hair color.

Armstrong insists she was just grabbing some paper as Smith wrote on it, and she never touched him.

Smith says the mayor lashed out because she was angry that he questioned the actions of the city treasurer, who is a mayoral ally.
