WEST POINT, N.Y. — The Army Black Knights showed their solidarity with America’s oldest ally Saturday.
Taking the field before a home game against Tulane, the Army football team ran out with the American flag as well as a French flag.
The U.S. Military Academy tweeted a photo of the entrance, writing. “#USMA stands with the French people following the #ParisAttacks – liberté, égalité, fraternity. #DutyHonorCountry.”
“Liberté, égalité, fraternité” is the national motto of France.
An ESPN reporter captured video and photos of the scene on social media.
Officials say 129 people were killed in Friday’s terror attacks in Paris and 352 people were injured.
Ninety-nine of those injured are in critical condition.
