Potential storms, high winds roll in Wednesday night

CHICAGO -- You can say goodbye to the sunny weather soon, Chicago.

The area is in for a roller coaster of temperatures as potential storms are on their way.

There are 25 states under various weather advisories.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the Chicago area from 5 p.m. Wednesday through 6 p.m. Thursday.


Gusts as high as 40 to 60 mph are possible.

A period of severe weather is possible prior to the high winds locking in on the area.

The storm prediction center has Chicagoland under a marginal risk for severe weather Wednesday. Potentially severe showers and thunderstorms are possible after 7 p.m.


Temps are expected to dive starting Thursday.
