CHICAGO -- Police say kids may be responsible for some of the fires that have been set in several North Side alley fires over the past month.

About 18 fires have been reported near Hamlin Park, Lakeview, Roscoe Village and West DePaul since Oct. 18.

Investigators say people have been setting fire to trash bins and disregarded items.

Several garages and at least one coach house have been destroyed or damaged, but most fires have been contained to the garbage bins.

Police reportedly have a suspect between seven and 10 years old on home surveillance video.

Aldermen in the affected neighborhoods are asking people to review their own security video and secure trash bins.
