CHICAGO -- A 14-year-old boy was shot and killed Saturday night on the city's South Side.

J'Quantae Riles was walking with a group of people in the 2200 block of West 59th Street at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

The group heard several shots fired and Riles fell to the ground.

Police say he was shot in the back and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Riles' mother, Franika Marshall, says she moved her family back to Chicago from Virginia just over a week ago.

She says her son must have been hit with a bullet intended for someone else.

Police have no suspects in custody.
