CHICAGO – A large crowd  gathered in downtown Chicago to protest the budget battle and its impact on Chicago Public Schools.

Students from multiple CPS schools gathered for a rally at the Thompson Center.  They called on Gov Rauner and state legislators to end the budget battle.

They’re concerned hundreds of teachers will be laid off if a budget deal is not reached.

The protestors then marched through the streets of downtown.
