White House will not release Obama-Clinton emails
WASHINGTON — The White House will not immediately release emails between President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, from her days as Secretary of State.
A senior administration official says the emails will be withheld until after President Obama leaves office.
The White House confirms the two exchanged emails on occasion, but won’t say how many.
A federal judge ordered the State Department to release all of Clinton’s emails from 2009 to 2013. But, President Obama’s emails are exempt from that ruling.
