Happy Days actor, Kenosha native dies at 96

Glendale, Calif. — The actor who played cook Big Al Delvecchio on “Happy Days” has died.

Al Molinaro passed away at a hospital in California Friday.

His son says he died from complications from a gall stone.

Molinaro was 96, and considered too old to have his gall bladder removed.

He was best known for his role on “Happy Days,” appearing in more than 140 episodes.

But Molinaro also had a role in the spin-off “Joanie Loves Chachi”, and on “The Odd Couple.”

Molinaro was a native of Kenosha, Wisconsin.
