CHICAGO -- Business owners in Albany Park are looking ahead after a massive fire Friday afternoon destroyed at least five businesses, while damaging several others on this retail block.  Now they're wondering what -- if anything -- can be salvaged.

The fire started inside of a dry cleaners and quickly spread to the adjoining businesses including a finance and insurance company, a formal wear rental store and a nail salon.  A Chicago public library branch is housed in the complex.

Building and fire inspectors were at the scene for most of the morning assessing the damage to see if the building could be salvaged or trying to figure out if it will be torn down.

City inspectors will continue to survey the damage while investigators work to pinpoint the cause of the blaze.
