HONOLULU, H.I. – A police officer in Honolulu is facing a lawsuit for discriminating against a lesbian couple.

Courtney Wilson and Taylor Guerrero said they were holding hands and kissing inside a grocery store back in March when the officer ordered them to “take it somewhere else”.

When he saw them being intimate again, they said the officer threatened them and hit Wilson and threw Guerrero to the ground.  They were set to jail and spent all their vacation money on bail.

They spent the next several months living on the street and staying in the homes of strangers while they waited for their criminal court date.

Now they’re suing the police department.  Their attorney says they want to  make sure this doesn’t happen again in the future.
