LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. — Studies show teenagers don’t get enough sleep, so one suburban high school is trying to change that.

Stevenson High in Lincolnshire is moving to a later start time.

Beginning next August, classes will start at 8:30, not 8:05.

The school day will still end at 3:25, but no class time will be cut.  Instead, the periods between classes will be shortened.

Other suburban school districts are considering a later start time, but Stevenson is the first to take action.
