Man accused of stealing money during Rochelle tornado

ROCHELLE, Ill. – A man is accused of stealing money from a restaurant during last Spring’s tornadoes in Rochelle.

Police arrested 67-year-old Michael G. McDonald.  They  say he stole a thousand dollars from the cash register during the chaos.

12 people took shelter in the Grubsteakers Restaurant as the EF 4 tornado blew past overhead last April.

McDonald is out on bond and is due back in court Nov. 6th
