HADDON TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Authorities have identified a 3-year-old New Jersey boy who was found dead shortly after he was reported missing from his home.

But Camden County prosecutors say it’s still not clear what caused the death of Brendan Link Creato.

A family member reported the boy missing around 6 a.m. Tuesday from a small apartment building in Haddon Township.

His body was found around 9 a.m. by a police dog in a wooded area of Cooper River Park.

Authorities are awaiting the results of an autopsy.

After the child was reported missing, police notified nearby residents using a reverse 911 call that described him as wearing pajamas.
