PITTSBURGH -- One of the Pittsburgh Pirates is making amends after his performance in the wild-card game.

Sean Rodriguez beat up a water cooler in the pirates dugout during the game. The umpires had just tossed him out after the Cubs' Jake Arrieta got hit with a pitch, causing benches to clear.

After a day to think it over, he tweeted this:

"I want to apologize for allowing my emotions to control my actions in a negative manner. I also spoke to the cooler, apologized personally and he's forgiven me as Christ forgives all."
