FOX LAKE, Ill. — It has cost more than $300,000 so far, to investigate the death of Fox Lake Lieutenant Joe Gliniewicz.

Almost two-thirds of that was related to overtime.

The Daily Herald analyzed records from 50 suburban police agencies involved in the investigation.

Gliniewicz died September 1 after being shot twice with his own weapon.

Investigators have not said much else about how he died.  They have not ruled out suicide.
