Classes canceled again in McHenry as teachers strike continues
MCHENRY, Ill. — Classes at McHenry high schools are canceled again today as the teachers’ strike moves into its fourth day.
Negotiators held an emergency session following Monday night’s regular school board meeting.
More than two hours of talks failed to make headway.
So they will return to the bargaining table tonight.
Nearly 400 people packed the school board meeting Monday night to get an update on the contract talks.
Salary and insurance contributions are the main issues in negotiations.
