CHICAGO — The popular tourist diner Ed Debevic’s has closed its doors.

Employees at the retro-themed restaurant said earlier this year their final day was October 4.

A 22-story apartment building will be built at the location.

Ed Debevic’s opened in River North in 1984 and is known for its sassy servers.

The owners are now looking for a new location.
