Bond was set at $50,000 dollars for a man accused of trying to attack a ticket counter worker at O’Hare Airport.

Edwin Sanchez of Washington DC is charged with attempted armed robbery.

Police say he asked to borrow scissors from a worker at an American Airlines ticket counter Tuesday.

After the employee gave the scissors to Sanchez, he hopped over the counter and demanded money.

Officers rushed in and arrested Sanchez.

Sanchez told police he had planned to get away by walking down an escalator, changing his shirt and getting on a train.
