CHICAGO -- Republican Presidential candidate John Kasich stopped in at Portillo's in River North on a campaign swing through Chicago.

The Ohio governor, is spending the day in Chicago after a weekend visit to Iowa, an early primary state.

Kasich is holding a meet-and-greet at Portillo's and will attend a fundraiser later in the day.

The two-term governor continues to poll toward the bottom of the crowded GOP presidential field.  Kasich bucked most of the Republican candidates last week when he said that while he would like to defund Planned Parenthood, he didn't want a government shutdown to do it.
