A video circulating online went viral after it showed the special bond between a mother polar bear and her cub.

The video shows the mother help her cub after it stumbled and fell into the tank and appeared to be drowning. The clip was uploaded to the Awesome Videos Facebook page Sep. 22 and it has already attracted more than 2.5 million views.

The footage shows the mother not only rescuing the cub, but also helping teach it to rescue itself, spotting the cub as it pulls itself to safety.

Awesome Videos’ post had more than 115,000 shares and nearly 30,000 likes as of Monday. Though many noted the sweetness of the video, others argued the clip was the latest example that bears should not be kept in man-made habitats.

Though the video has been shown on popular websites such as The Dodo, it is unknown at which zoo the incident took place. The Facebook account was not immediately available for comment as to the time and place of the video.
