1 dead, 1 critically wounded in Pilsen shooting

CHICAGO — Police are investigating a possible gang-related shooting that killed one and wounded another.

Around 3:30 a.m. near the corner of W. 18th Street and S. Miller Street, two men, ages 33 and 22, were walking out of an alley when a vehicle drove by and someone in the car opened fire, according to authorities.

Both men were shot.

The 33-year-old was hit in the head at taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he later died.

The 22-year-old was also shot in the head and taken to Stroger Hospital.

So far this weekend one other man has been killed and another 24 others have been wounded in shootings since Friday night around the city.

This follows last weekend which saw four killings and 35 other shootings.
