Man charged with sexually assaulting woman, 97, in Arlington Heights

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. — A Mount Prospect, Ill., man has been charged with sexually assaulting an elderly woman at her assisted-living home in Arlington Heights, Ill., according to a report.

The Chicago Tribune reports Frank Mendez, 51, was arrested and charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault after he allegedly entered a 97-year-old woman’s room at an assisted-living residence through an unlocked window and sexually assaulted her.

According to the Tribune the incident occurred on Aug. 20. The alleged victim was transported to Northwest Community Hospital and later released.

Mendez was expected in Cook County’s Central Bond Court in Chicago on Sunday.
