More than 14K turn out for Chicago Half Marathon and 5k

CHICAGO — More than 14,000 people ran through the city's South Side Sunday for the Chicago Half Marathon and 5k.

The course included Lake Shore Drive, Jackson Park and the University of Chicago's campus.

Northbound Lake Shore Drive lanes were closed from 67th street to 31st street until 9:30 a.m. Southbound lanes were closed from 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Some streets on the South Side were closed until 1 p.m.
