NEW YORK -- By now Pope Francis has met with world leaders, visited a school in Harlem and had a parade through Central Park. But today’s most moving appearance was at the Ground Zero Memorial.

A man who preaches peace stood in the place of senseless destruction by those who wanted to wage war.
