CHICAGO — If you want to take a ride on Navy Pier's Ferris wheel, this weekend is your final chance.
Navy Pier is offering free overnight rides for visitors.
Starting Saturday at 10 p.m. to 9:45 a.m. Sunday, the Ferris wheel will operate free of charge.
There will be one more day for paying riders on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
After Sunday, the Navy Pier ride will be dismantled and sold.
The new 196-foot wheel is set to open next summer, according to Navy Pier officials. The new ride will be able to accommodate more riders in 42 larger gondolas.
