ELMHURST, Ill. — The clerk at a gas station who was missing has been found and is charged with felony theft.

Police in Elmhurst have charged 21-year-old Simone Boyd and her boyfriend, Brandon Morris, 21.

Police say they are responsible for the theft at the Shell gas station at 654 W. North Ave. Tuesday morning.

Police say they staged what appeared to be a robbery.

Boyd left the store with Morris, after Morris jumped the counter and took money from the register.

Both were seen on store surveillance video that led police to believe it was a robbery and abduction.

Both have been charged and are in jail.
