PROSPECT HEIGHTS, Ill. — Classes are canceled again today for Prospect Heights school District 23.

Another late night negotiating session failed to put an end to a teachers strike.

Teachers walked out on Wednesday in a dispute over pay.

The school board proposed a two-week cooling off period Sunday that would have allowed teachers to return to the classroom while negotiations continued.

But, the teachers union rejected it.

1500 students in four towns are affected by the strike.

Neither side has said when the next negotiating session will be.
